Cooking for Mardi Gras

Hey there! So I’ll start this off with a disclaimer; I am not Cajun. However, I do really really love Cajun food, and I really love to cook. So, if you’re like me and your grandma doesn’t have a beloved and smudged copy of a gumbo or étouffée recipe to pass down, but you’re wanting some authentic New Orleans Cuisine to cook, allow me to share with you this wonderful website.

I’ve cooked the étouffée, gumbo, and creole boiled rice. I’m dying to try the muffuletta, beignets, and about a million others. Ya’ll, he makes his own Worcestershire sauce, and includes “drink a beer” in the cooking instructions. He is my people.

Go, enjoy, and Happy Mardi Gras!!
