For so long, I thought that living in a dream world was dumb. It’s fun for awhile, but basically irresponsible. I thought it would turn me into one of those people who don’t have a clue how the world really operates. The kind of person that everyone rolls their eyes at.

Lately I’ve been thinking that the dreamers are the smart ones. They may be oblivious to many things the rest of the world sees as facts, but they are awake and alive to their dreams and goals and ambitions. It makes me wonder if those rolling their eyes are the ones who don't have a clue.

We become who we surround ourselves with, and we become what we think. If you think 100 times a day about how hard life is and how the reality is that things are always difficult, if you believe that the odds are not in your favor, guess how easy it is to give up? 

However.

What if you believe that you are capable of doing anything you set your mind to?

What if you believe that you are in control of your own life? Not circumstances, not people’s opinions, not their nos. 

What if where you are in life is directly related to what you are doing right now?

What if you’re the kind of woman who shows up for her life, even when things are hard, because you just know that your life is just as important as anyone else’s? Despite your mistakes, and despite the fact that that one person thinks you talk too much and that other person doesn’t think you’re smart or pretty enough. Despite all of that, if you see your life as worth showing up for, every day...what a different world you could be living in!

I think I'm going to go live in dreamland for awhile....
